BIO
From the time he could talk, CHAPPY was hollering song. Raised in Georgia and shaped by visits to his grandmother in the North Carolina mountains — where Willie Nelson’s Honky Tonk Radio played on repeat and lap harps and dusty organs lined the walls — music was stitched into his bones early. Just down the road, his other grandmother was a prolific painter, passing down a different kind of influence — one of beauty, texture, and emotional weight. Between them, sound and story took root. An instinctual folk instrumentalist (banjo, acoustic guitar, dulcimer), CHAPPY has spent the last decade in Nashville as a bandleader, music director, and collaborator — playing on records, leading ensembles, and composing for podcasts, films, and narrative projects.
Now, with over two decades of music behind him, CHAPPY is stepping into the spotlight with Wrestle Me — a debut album that doesn’t just introduce an artist, it reveals a voice that’s been living and learning in plain sight.
Rooted in Nashville, CHAPPY blends the grit of rock & roll with the narrative soul of Americana. His sound is a bruised-knuckle handshake between vulnerability and power — built for open roads, dive bars, and windows rolled all the way down.

THE MUSIC
Wrestle Me is a battle cry, a reckoning, and a love letter to the beautiful chaos of being alive. With heavy guitars, soaring organs, and a voice that testifies, this record pulls from influences like Brittany Howard, James Taylor, Springsteen, and Nathaniel Rateliff — channeling that emotional bigness into something cinematic and intimate.
Key Singles – Releasing Summer/Fall 2025:
Sleep – A deep, organ-drenched dreamscape that wrestles with identity and internal silence.
We’ll Be Alright – A sweaty roots-rock anthem that crescendos into a quietly terrifying question: Can we really be alright?
My Father is a Good Man – A high-octane emotional reckoning with love, masculinity, and generational weight.
Rollin’ / Fighter – A chugging, full-throttle track that carries the rhythm of an 18-wheeler and the war thundering on inside.
